The National College Attainment Network (NCAN) is pleased to invite you to our convening titled “Expanding Postsecondary Data Sharing from States to K-12 Systems,” taking place from February 10-11, 2025 in Dallas.

The convening will bring together data experts from state agencies, foundations, associations, and the K-12 sector to examine optimal data sharing practices for postsecondary outcomes metrics. It will offer attendees a chance to connect, compare notes, and commit to expanding access to timely, valuable data on students’ postsecondary access and attainment.

Nearly 40% of school leaders report not having access to their students’ postsecondary enrollment data in an electronic data management system.  These data are critical for improving the postsecondary advising students receive and shaping their postsecondary pathways. States, through statewide longitudinal data systems (SLDS) and other collections and mechanisms, can deliver this data to district and school leaders and practitioners, but whether and how states perform this service varies widely.

The agenda will include time for networking, roundtable discussions, and presentations both from state agencies about current practice and from researchers, advocates, and policy organizations on the critical need for expanding the sharing of postsecondary outcomes data. Please plan to attend this important convening; NCAN would love to have you!
